We need to be confident that a sufficient number of people will attend the conference for it to be financially viable. So we’ve started (as we did with the London conference in 2016) with a request that you make a deposit of £22.00 as soon as possible. The sum will be refunded in full in the unlikely event that the conference doesn’t take place.
Your deposit will guarantee the availability of a ticket. Early Bird tickets – £225.00 – will be available for four weeks after the announcement that the conference is definitely going to take place, so you will need to pay the balance of £203 during that period. After the deadline tickets will be priced at £265, you’ll need to pay the balance of £243.00 before 24:00 GMT 7 April. We need to set an early deadline for ordering tickets because we need to ensure we have the money to pay for major outlays such as venue hire, speaker flights, hotel accommodation etc.
You don’t need to have made the £22.00 deposit to later order a ticket, but if you don’t:
- you won’t be guaranteed ticket availability
- you’ll be adding to the risk that the conference is cancelled simply because not enough people have paid the deposit to give us confidence about likely attendance numbers
